i modified my moogerfooger controllers for this.
(requires switching the connections at the pot)
i don't think i would recommend buying them for this purpose,
they are kind of expensive for the plastic things they are
(i had them already when i decided to do this)

i think i will eventually get some ernie balls but this will
require changing the pot to a linear taper...
unless you want a log taper 
(if that's your taste, times being what they are)
