I don't know about performing classical
repertoire, but I once read in Keyboard magazine
about a woman who built an instrument where she
had a keyboard wired up to a bunch of car horns,
I forget how many, but I think there was one for
each key. Unfortunately, they didn't cite any
recordings where one might here this instrument.
