Hi Tim,
Just another perspective: Why not try to record the cat without a
click? Then create loops on a computer with a software that can give
you the needed tempo in a mouse click! Over the last two years I have
been recording many drummers and for my needs the resulting music comes
out much better if the drummer is free to play according to his own
built in metronome. Recording software like Ableton Live and Logic Pro
7 can do this in a wink by some nifty elastic audio algorithms.
