Re: Live sampling - what set ups could I use
Hello you may have a look at the new Roland/Boss SP404.
It's an upgrade of the 303 I had.

Yes, and use the tap tempo to have a perfect loop at this tempo.
However you can't "overdub" without stopping first.

The polyphony is 12. and you have 10 or 12 banks of 12pads directly
accessible + other you can load from a backup card (up to 1 giga CF).

Yes and you have clock synchro (and start stop) and a -crude-
timestretching.

29 effects (one at a time, you can choose which pads go thru the effect)
with 3 control knob.
