This is correct.  The Looperlative LP1 offers the ability to have 8 
simultaneously running loops.  Loops may be synchronous or asynchronous 
with each other.  On top of that, all 8 loops are stereo.  The EDP is an 
excellent device, but to have 8 simultaneous stereo loops would require 
you 
to use 16 EDP's.
