Hi Per,
You could put Linux on Apple hardware, but philosophical reasons aside
(free vs. closed software), I can't see why you'd want to. The Fink and
DarwinPorts projects do a good job of making Unix/Linux apps available on
OS X so there might be pointers on porting from there, as well as from the
Apple developer site.
