Only if the gig paid me twice as much. :)
Seriously, though, you bring up a third system that I would use...I would use my
notebook and rack, but go directly into my tube amp rather than the Mackie board
and PA. This would be for the looping gigs where I used my electric, rather than
acoustic, and I didn't mind playing in mono, but still wanted to apply some
bizarre effects to my sound. Or I could just ust my notebook and the tube amp,
or just my rack and the tube amp...lots of options to completely butcher the
clean and warm tone of a Mesa Boogie Mark I.

  Hi !

Tell me have you ever tried to incorporate both rigs for a gig ?

  Right
Kris,i have two separate rigs, one to play with a rock n roll band and one
for the looping,it feels so good to play through a real tube amp with
those little eccentric stomp boxes, but off course there is
always another effect i want to add to my already full peadlboard and
relearn to tap dance again, but this forces me to keep it at minimal. With
my loop rig on the other hand is a joy to have this huge palette
of sounds at the touch of a button...although sometimes cold to swim
in a sterile sea of virtuality;-) Luis
