OT: READING

one of them."
Here I have to agree to disagree with you, Mark.
This is an extremely creative community that is a very multi-talented
and multi-dimensional one..............one that is fairly intimate too, as
online communities go.
It is fascinating to me to see how different kinds of art cross pollinate
with the people who
make looping music on this list.
I do think that we should discipline ourselves to always including an
offtopic OT indicator
in our posts and , frankly, to have a subthread on Harry Potter feels
like
it begs the issue*
but I my feeling is that the answers to this question about what we are
reading informs
the looping community as much as what we are listening to or what we are
performing
or recording.
You can always subscribe to the daily digest and just fail to read
anything
that is on this
thread or take 30 seconds to put a filter on your email program to make
anything
with an OT: READING header disappear with the rest of your spam messages.
I, for one, have enjoyed this thread and to me it's very relevant to live
looping
because we are multi-faceted artists who are informed by many different
kinds of things.
yours, Rick Walker
*I'm not opposed to saying you've read the new Harry Potter (or watched
the
latest movie or
listened to the latest movies sound score) I just think that since this
is
an off topic topic, that
we should minimize it's presence on the list by retaining the same thread
name.
