I'll be happy to.  And, if they still haven't 
been released in the States by LY2k7, you're more 
than welcome to give mine a test-whirl if you 
make it down to Santa Cruz this year.  I'm 
planning on bringing it, along with my FrankenVox.

Also, I've been posting updates on my impressions 
over at the VG-99 mailing list on Yahoogroups. 
Even though that group is ostensibly for those 
interested in the VG "group buy", it's well on 
its way to becoming the online support group for 
VG-99 owners.  If you can't read my posts online 
over there, then let me know and I can re-copy 
them here (or forward them in PM if no-one else 
is interested).  They're pretty long, and I don't 
want to spam the entire group with OT data if 
we're the only ones keeping up with it.

Nope, they've not been released in the US yet. 
So far, I've only heard of availability in Japan 
and Europe (either Scandinavia or Deutschland, 
IIRC).  I think they're still trying to ramp up 
production to meet demand in this market, though. 
So far, what I've heard is around Halloween(?). 
We'll see.

It was a complete fluke that I got one; I merely 
lucked out.  I just happened to be in Japan on 
the week they were released at the end of July. 
Spent the next few days maxxing out my ATM cards 
until I had enough cash to get one, only to find 
out they'd sold out everywhere.  Again, sheer 
dumb luck, but I think I found the last boxed 
unit in stock in Shibuya, and have been a happy 
camper ever since.  :)

In short, I can tell you that it's a pretty cool 
box.  I've been posting a lot on the VG-99 list 
about its shortcomings, but that's only so others 
will know what they're getting into, and can make 
an informed decision before throwing out their 
cash.  Overall, I'm very happy with mine.  In 
fact, I think I'll go into the other room and jam 
a bit right now.  :D
