using an old Atari joystic, or a Nintendo power pad, or even just some integration of an object from pop culture to modulate sound (not create) in some way?
I guess many of you have already been watching this brilliant geek : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-Qc5_lV4HI

MORE IMPORTANTLY it would be amazing to have an audience member be able to modulate your performance in some way... just imagine the possibilities, the numerous parameters of the numerious midi controlled devices!  wow!
"Amazing Rolo" uses the WiiMote accelerometers to turn his movements into sound modulations. But the other popular WiiMote hack is to use its built in camera for head tracking. So you could as well stick some reflective tape on the head of a few audience members on the front row, so that their dancing modulates your performance - they won't be dancing to your music, your music will be created by their dancing!  :-)
