A simple line conditioner may help somewhat, but you could probably use 
something more serious. You might look in to something ike this:

I've never tried one of those high-end power conditioners, but I've heard 
rave review about them. As in, all your audio equipment performs obviously 
and noticeably better.

The Furman  M-9x power conditioner is listed as $59 new.  Maybe possible 
to find something more substantial used.
Would be nice if you could borrow a conditioner and see if it helps.
