re: Duduk and melancholic instrument
Speaking of cello as a melancholic instrument, what about the "viola da gamba" ?
(I am not too sure of the translation)
This is an instrument that even when played in a straight major scale, sounds sad or melancholic...
Like it says all the time "I am from another age, another world, and all this has been long lost..."
