RE: New to the list and (almost) new to looping.

Soloways are made to be played in "normal" E tuning and i usually tune them like that. If course drop, open D ot lowering work much better than on shorter scale guitars.  YOu can check up JIm Soloway work here:
www.jimsoloway.com and here's the one I used in the newest two clips http://www.jimsoloway.com/CompletedSwans/H230BlueMinis/GalleryH230.htm
One of my cougars is TW inspired but it's an original Cougar circuit and soundwise a mix of TW and Plexi, i have some old clips of and it's called Hawk. Cougar have built Dumble style amps more than then years his first amps are called Mystique Amps Mystic Blues. UNder the Mystique name he built some TW "clones" or at least very some amps very "inspired" by the Express, just fugure out how that cicuit works. Im my opinion Tomme makes some og the best amps in the world.. but sincehe is a friend I'm sort of biased ;-) I can check out cougars amps here: www.custombycougar.com

Thanks for the welcoming, and the questions hope i answered most of them,

Anything remotely resembling the dumble tone is on the right path.   I agree with Per, its Fat. The guitar has a 27 inch scale length?? That is baritone length. I’m just about to finish putting a neck that length on one of my strats. I had one before and It is a really cool scale length with nice bass. I recall I was using fairly heavy strings .016-.70 I believe. What string gauges are you using? Are you tuning those guitars to B or C?  Dumble got it right as did the late great Ken Fischer. Is one of the amps on your web site based on a Train wreck? Do you have clips of that? Do I ask a lot of questions? J

Welcome to the tribe.
