Re: Frustrated RC-50 user trying to gain bearings with Ableton Live

Thanks again for all the help guys.

I am happily looping now using the tap in/out early method. Didn't
take long to get the knack.

Now, how do I do the 'first loop sets tempo' thing? I like starting
off with a loop sometimes, but I'd like to start playing guitar first
on some tracks or be able to loop to a live drummer and get his tempo
that way. Right now I'm looping using Live alone, is this where Mobius
comes into play, or can this be done natively in Live? I love the idea
of using Mobius, as it seems a better tool for the job, but I am
already pushing my CPU limit with the other VSTs I'm running, so I'd
rather not have to introduce another one in the mix if I can avoid
it... but at the same time maybe it's worth it, mobius seems a lot
more flexable.

I guess my questions are:
1) how do you guys do 'first loop sets tempo' in the context up Live,
with or without Mobius?
2) What are your thoughts on looping with Live naively vs. Mobius?
Pros and cons?

Thanks,
-Adam
