In the beginning I used a midi tap tempo, the LP1 in slave mode, a
midi-synced delay effect to create an initial loop and record that with
"midi sync rec" on the LP1 as master track. But using the LP1 as master
clock has the advantage that it calculates the tempo for you and this
results in a more spontanious 1st loop and tempo. I more and more prefer
the last method.

I have been experimenting with create short rhythmic loops of 1-2 seconds.
Techniques I use with the LP1:
- very fast speed changes with an expression pedal result in weird
artifacts and bleeps => great tip from Bill Walker
- random use of (unsynced) replace function
- I also have a CTL pedal programmed to create a copy of the current loop
and play it half speed. The LP1 keeps the copy in sync with the master loop
- random use of feedback
- feedback of 0% to "remove" the bad stuff ;)

I did :)
