there's a system to plug your guitar direct
into the laptop via firewire, with a hex
piezo pickup.
You'd have to contact Rolf Spuler to find out
what's actually available.
The Roland GK series doesn't sound that good.
Not designed for audio, with cheap electronics
and connectors.
The Graphtech Ghost system seems to be a good way to go.
...but the hex module is of unspecified sound quality,
being intended for Midi.
...the "acoustic sound" module is mono
Maybe we can get Ricky Graham to do us a demo
of the raw guitar output.
