Yes, it was indeed a big hit in its day... They had another hit though not 
as big, on the same album ("Moving Waves"?) I remember catching them on 
the 
old "In Concert" show ABC used to run on Friday nights, with a stereo 
simulcast (gasp!) on WABC-FM (later WPLJ, could be something else by now. 
Oh wait, everything's Clear Channel now, isn't it?).  Wasn't that a 
youthful 
Della Reese introducing them?  Yikes, I'm going to be 53 at the end of 
December.  Who cares?  My fingers still work on a guitar despite numerous 
stupid injuries. :P

That Focus video is a must see.  If I'm not mistaken that tune was 
actually 
a hit.  I distinctly remember hearing it on the radio....as in top 40 
radio, 
probably AM no less.  How he hits those notes in that falsetto is beyond 
me. 
1973?!  36 years ago?!  I know my fellow 40 somethings will feel my 
disbelief that it's been that long!
