If I play in the streets I use a usual tamborine and just step
onto it (fix it somewhere, if possible to keep it from sliding away. Or I 
use a "rhythm egg" (how do you call it in English?) and put it around my 
shoe with a ribbon or tape.
You can also get a Stompin Box ( percussion for acoustic guitarists) by 
Shadow for about 120 Euro. Haven´t checked it yet.
