Re: OT: Is Keytar cool (again) or not?

See also Page McConnell (from Phish) in most versions of Frankenstein in 2009(as seen here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE8BbEeNjLw ). I think an artist has to seem as though they understand the inherent comedy of a Keytar, in order to make it cool. That specific Keytar Page is using is actually made even cooler by the fact that it's a Moog, and it was owned by James Brown!

Hi Folks

I was just wondering:

Now that Keytar re-surfaced again along with the current back-to-80ies trend (oh, these leggings still look horrible - sorry ladies!)...

Do you think it is cool again? The question is of course: Was it ever cool at all? Well, at least, when Herbie Hancock took it to stage it did look kind of cool.
But the thing is: Would you want to be on stage with a Keytar nowadays - or is it (still) too embarrasing?

best regards
Buzap
