Re: Mobius` Input ports in Ableton

Thanks Jeff! That´s exactly what I tried to describe in my not good enough english. Is there any way around it, if i still want to use all my ableton instruments and effects?
Or does anyone know how to change these ableton settings?
Or does anyone know a better way to loop and send out every instrument on it´s own track and output so the loops stay "mixable" after going through the looper?

I worked sooooo long on this setup. It´s driving me crazy!

Btw. Thank you all for doing what you do! I´m so impressed by people like you, who keep this mailing list running and are open and willing to share there knowledge with others! Big big inspiration!

Cheers,
Jannis

Mobius arranges input channels into stereo pairs called "ports".  It looks like Ableton does the same, though they give them confusing names.

Testing with Live Lite 8 on Windows, it appears that sending an Ableton audio track output to "Track In" on the Mobius track sends it to what Mobius calls Port 1, the first pair of stereo channels.  Sending to "Left in 2" sends to Mobius Port 2, "Left in 3" to Mobius Port 3, and "Left in 4" to Mobius port 4.

But I can't get it to send to ports 5 - 8.  This appears to be a Live limitation, at least in the "Lite" version I have.

"Mobius / Global Parameters / Limits / Plugin Ports".
(set the number for how many ports the plugin will show Ableton Live)
