Just stay away from emachines unless you are resigned to using a mouse or even a separate keyboard, in which case why use a laptop? I was using my 10-year-old Gateway laptop as a backup for weeks while my one-year-old emachines was in the shop for "dancing cursor disease." My coal-burning Gateway may be slow but at least the cursor stays put and doesn't jump from field to field, or disappear entirely and take a paragraph or two along with it. Who needs that s**t??
