When I play with Möbius I rarely use more than 3 tracks (pumping
audio into them all eight was just a funny game for that picture).
One track for tonal material loops (where I tend to layer much) and
the rest for stuff that will still sound ok whatever key or chord I
make up as I go. I just can't handle too big scenarios and three
faders is still what I manage to adjust while eventually playing or
singing notes at the same time.

(Related:) I'm still keeping your idea from the Möbius list on my
plan for future rainy days: breaking up chords and put different
notes on different tracks. Two or three notes a track and then
combining loops (from different "chords") between those tracks. Very
interesting tip. I'm posting Kris tip it here so more can pick it up ;-)
