A laptop, suitable for audio on the same level of performance and
stability, is actually more expensive than buying a Looperlative. Add
to that the cost of a good audio interface. I just had to make this
point because I see this mistake being done all over - comparing
prices of the cheapo laptops that use to figure in advertisements.
That's not fair IMHO.
"Looperlative Too Expensive"? It seems reasonably priced to me. The
point in setting a price level for a unique product is to make sure
that you will be able to keep up support, production and development
into the future. So if I should want to buy a LP1 I would feel safe
in the knowledge that the temporarily big hole in my pocket does
guarantee that I'm taking less risks doing that investment.
