There is a wealth of knowledge in the archives of this list regarding 
these 
loopers.  Like all products, each is a little different.  Some things 
about 
them you will like and others you won't.  No matter what device you get, 
you will wish it does at least one more thing that it doesn't currently 
do. 
No matter which device you get, you will learn to use it to its limits.

My recommendation is start small and move up as you gain experience.  Of 
those listed above, I prefer the JamMan, but that is my personal 
preference.  The JamMan has MIDI sync capabilities which can be important 
if you decide you'd like to expand by adding additional boxes.
