Re: AW: Electro-Harmonix MM w/Hazarai

Rainer pretty much covers the subject here, so I'll just add a couple of
points

I don't have any problem without shoes, but it's a somewhat clunky way to
make a loop and not so easy to get it accurate

In general you can either control the delays, or the loop, but not both.
You can't stop the Loop without turning off the delays.

and tap time won't go up to the full 3s

5. Won't run on batteries
6. To re-record a loop the process is hit Bypass, hold Tap for 500mS or
more, hit Bypass, then make the new loop.
7. Time stretching is full of artefacts ( could be a plus )

8. Reverb (which can be got on it's own) is digital mush (again, could ba
a plus)

EDPers call it feedback, "secondary feedback" is a Mobius term

5. "Instant Reverse" : just hold "tap" and you hear what you just played
coming out backwards for up to 6s( as an alternative to the loop). This
function alone makes the pedal worthwhile, great for band use.

6.Reverse echo is capable of some interesting textures.

7. Can be persuaded to be a flanger or chorus with a bit of effort.

I bought the SMM to use in a band, and it's a lot of fun for that, but
it's also found it's way into my looping rig right at the beginning of the
signal chain. Feeding those varispeed loops into the rest of the rig is
really quite gratifying .
