Re: OT Re: RIP Steve Jobs... What if he had never been?

Lurker here.

I wouldn't call it pissing on the proceedings, it is just a splash of cold water in the face.

Now about the mouse..... I thought Atari also saw the same thing at Parc and bought the patent for the mechanism from some inventor?

Also..... One button mouse.... Only makes it half way.  (that was supposed to be funny)

Mr. Jobs saw potential in everything and was a refiner of ideas. Refining the human interface (note the people  he worked with in the beginning). The goal..... Lets not complicate things  ( at least not on the surface)

There will be many generational opinions about him. Those who grew up prior to the PC revolution, those during the PC revo and those of the i_generation.

I'm sad he is gone. Too young.

Rich

I think it's an interesting and noteworthy phenomenon, how in many of the places I've visited online today where people were personally making an effort and in their own word memorializing Steve's Jobs' impact on their lives following the announcement of his death . . . and no matter what, there was always one person who pops up there who wants to piss all over the proceedings. That's humanity for you.
