Good choices,  "Evening Star" is a favorite of mine.

Some recent good loopy stuff:

Michael Brook "Albino Alligator" soundtrack
Daniel Lanois "Sling Blade" soundtrack  

      I've never been disappointed by anything from Brook, Fripp, Torn,
Lanois.
