How connect a multieffect to TASCAM 564

Hi!!!:
        My question it's How I connect a multieffect (Addverb III by peavey, in this case) to myTASCAM 564?. Obviously i read the owner's manual first, but it's not clear enough about this section.I try to connect the multieffect for so many ways, but nothing happens, so please send some help!!!. Thank you!!!
