Echoplex memory upgrade.

Basic question:

Is it important that the SIMMs that install to upgrade the memory be the
same type as the one already in the module?

More specifically:
To max out my Echoplex, do i need 4 SIMMs or will 3 (and leaving the one
already in there) do the job?
