Thought you all might want to know since a few of you may have hard drives in something or other and a few of those hard drives might be Western Digitals. If you have any questions about the recall, contact Western Digital at 1-800-357-1374 and they will be help you. -------------------------------------------------- Determining if your hard drive is affected. -------------------------------------------------- Western Digital "Caviar" drives of 6.8 gigabytes and multiples of 6.8 gigabytes could be affected by this recall notice (6.8, 13.6, 20.4 gigabyte hard drives.) In order to determine whether or not the Western Digital recall notice affects your hard drive, you will need to make sure you have a Western Digital hard drive in your computer. Next you will need to go to the Western Digital Web site to download the DRVTEST utility to get the information off the hard drive.
