Distortion Plugin (VST/DX)

Hi there.
I personally own a boss Metal Zone guitar pedal. 
It's amazingly GREAT running congas and Hi Hats through it!! 
(have you ever tried this?)


well.. my question.. Is there any plugin distortion similar to this??
(the fact is that I don't like very much the idea of having to resample
my tracks to get them processed..)
