There's a program called Swar Shala I think that can do this kind of
things... If I remeber correctly, you have to buy it if yo want real 
options
and more instruments (tambura being one of them)...

The thing is great for Tabla loops... You choose the tala you want and the
software do it... nice little program.. the sound samples are in WAV 
formats
and they are real instruments..
