Re: Behringer

Hi Stephen,

A few months ago, I bought an MX2624A mixer. I used it at Okefenokee
where I
ran five people's rigs through it; Marcel Engels (Free System Projekt),
Dave
Brewer, John Christian & Pete Ruczynski (2/3 of AirSculpture), and me.
See my
web site for links to pictures that show this event (and the mixer appears
in a
few!). The only thing that I don't like about this mixer is its lack of
balanced outputs on XLR connectors. Recordings made from this mixer are
being
used to make a CD, planned for release later this year if all goes well.

Have fun and best of luck at Jodrell Band. Please say hi to Frank, Klaus,
Dave,
and all my other friends there. I will be at NEARfest in the USA
listening to
ten prog bands in two days. Wish I could clone myself and be in both
places at
once!

BTW, you sent your post from an address that is different from the one I
have on
file for you. Should I update my address book?

Hi all,

I´ve been working for Behringer as a translator for a while and won´t give
away
too many secrets of their manufacture or whatever. I am using some of their
products, most notably the MX2642A mixer as this is by far the most
flexible 19"
mixer on the market, and if your music is heavily based on looping and
processing there is nothing to beat this unit routing and sound-wise for
stage
and live applications or where space is an issue.
