Hey, all this talk of electronic purcussion has got me thinking. For a while we had a woman who was using realtime filters and effects on our drumloops, coming from a Roland MC-307 and a Yamaha DJXII hokey drum box. It worked pretty well, but she's decided that, as classical guitarist, she's moving up to Chapman Stick. That part's working our really well, but we're loosing someone to mix up the beats. Ideally, I'd love it for that person to be an electronic percussionist. I'd love real drums/purc. but I'd kind of like to keep practices here at my apt. in sunny Alameda CA. and a real kit would be too much, but something like tablas would be fine. I actually have an extra drum module and a Roland Octapad, so if you'd want to just show up, and play that would be perfect. Jon? Anyone? The music is very prog hip hop/weird dance.
