well, i'd have to hear it.  the alesis reverbs i have (wedge, and 
microverb 4) have that high-end digital hissy sound (high end in terms of 
frequency, not quality)....i'm sure i'd rather have a good lexicon or tc 
box, but the de-1 is cheap, and does not sound like my alsesis units.
