repeater sound quality

hi list,

 i just got the electrix repeater 3 days ago.
i'm a bit disappointed by the sound quality.
i get a lot of hush on the output, even if all channels are
"muted" (i mean all sliders down).
if playing loops from the flash card, there's always some
zipper noise coming through the output, even if all tracks
are "muted"

is this the normal behaviour of the repeater ?
