Two items pop into mind: The Akai Headrush (about $200) and one of several stomp box samplers ($100-150?). I suspect the biggest problem will be a unit which *knows* when the signal starts and stops and automatically clips it and loops it. If you don't mind *telling* the unit to start/stop via a hand/foot switch, I'll bet you might even be able to use one of those Radio Shack "save-an-idea" thingies. I'd love to discover something lo fi and loopy; I look forward to the suggestions of others.
