rumour: repeater ceases production??

I heard from a producer out SF way that they are ceasing
production of the Repeater.

This is really second- or third-hand but I wanted to see
if anyone else had heard this.  I'm just starting to make
use of the box heavily and it'd be a bummer to lose
Electrix...
