Check out U.K. Their first album (not that they had that many) is excellent. Eddie Jobson's Theme of Secrets is a favorite of mine. 'Course U.K.'s stuff is not recent. Theme is from '85. Bozzio/Levin/Stevens are good, particularly their 1st (Blacklight Light Syndrome). Anyone ever listen to the German band 'Software'? Peter Mergener and Michael Wiesser have been around for a while. Their first couple of albums (Syn-code and Chip Meditation) are on my alltime favorite list. Most of their stuff isn't bad either. What about "An electric Storm in Hell" by White Noise? I haven't heard it but a lot of people talk about it. Or is it hype?
