thanks for the tips.  i've have but one rack space to 
spare, which is dedicated to the switchblade (as soon 
as i can locate that elusive money tree), so i can't 
really add a mixer.  i'll adjust the mix control 
tonight.  i could adjust the input/output for the edp 
side of the eventide, but i'll still end up with an 
unbalanced mix when playing unlooped.  i think mr. 
torn's suggestion for a second gain stage is a 
suitable solution...we'll see...
