.ram is the mark of a Real Audio Player file. Real Audio is *yet another* codec that's been touted as the "best thing since .mp3!" I've had major issues installing it on PCs. On my Mac, it seems to like to declare it owner of any type of content it can, even though you tell it not to do that. The other good thing about it is you have to reinstall it every week when a new version comes out.
