Yup. I have this problem with my Dell Inspiron laptop, which I tooled around with as a sampler, and with Live, for a while. Had to either run on batteries (no good), or use a ground lifting plug on the power cable to get the 60 cycle hum to go away. By the way - this is a known problem with Dell laptops. Dell support folks don't like to admit it tho.
