Using a Digitech PCM10 with the Echoplex

I want to be sure I am programming my PCM10 correctly
to use with the echoplex.

Here is an example of how I set a midi string in the
PCM10 (example: of half speed).

Midi String A

1    program change
     channel 1
     program 1

2    note on
     channel 1
     note 48 C3
     velocity 64 mp

3    --------------

Midi String B

1    program change
     channel 1
     program 1

2    note off
     channel 1
     note 48 C3
     velocity 0 off

3-------------------

Is this the right way to do this? I have all of the
buttons of my PCM set this way, just with different
note on and off numbers to turn on which ever echoplex
virtual EDP buttons, midi commands, or loop triggers, 
that I want that button to access.

Or is there a better way to do this?

Do I need to even have the program change in there?

Can you use the echoplex footpedal and the Digitech
PCM10 at the same time?
