Yamaha UD Stomp--Can it Pitch shift without glitches?

Hi again--
I just snagged one of these on eBay--wonder if it allows you to change the
pitch of a sample without garbling the audio quality?
Probably not, but when I saw Holdsworth last year, he was using this unit 
to
great effect (haha)--in fact he was using two of 'em.
Anyone here currently using one of these?
