Thanks very much Ted, I'm really glad you're enjoying it! Theo sounds very little like your traditional flautist on this recording, and Alto Flute makes a great texture for soundscape stuff. Coupled with his soprano playing, I think it makes for pretty compelling stuff. I'm still listening to it, which is a good sign... :o) cheers! It arrived the day before yesterday and has hardly left my CD changer. It's such a beautiful collection of improvised tracks -- duets of looped bass and flute/sax. I have Steve's previous two disks (one of solo bass and one of bass/piano duets) and enjoy them too. But this one is truly marvelous. I'm afraid to admit that I held off getting it 'cause I'm not a big fan of flute music in general. But, I highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates great musicianship and real melodies.
