Party with drifting stereo EDPs

Those of you with two EDPs that are not staying in phaselocked stereo Brothersync for whatever reason:
 
If the timing is drifting, will it eventually drift back into sync?  Does it always drift at the same rate, or does it drift faster if the loop is shorter? 
 
What if you SUSRecord or (SUSMultiply to) a very short granular loop (0.01-0.04)?  It would be a neat sound to have the EDPs move in and out of phase with each other.
