Re: Lexicon Vortex Site moves

Andy!

So . . . you're the Vortex guy!!! I didn't really make the
connection after all of our discussions about Chopitch
GUIs and stuff. I own 2 of the puppies and I have borrowed
and tinkered with many of the patches from your site over
the years. Thanks for making that info available! Amazing!

It's been a very helpful resource. You can hear Vortexes
in use all over my 2001 CD "Flux Aeterna." The thing is
seldom turned off (or otherwise missing from my guitar's
regular signal chain). I use the second one to process the
guitar-MIDI-controlled synths. Forget wahwah pedals. CV
control pedal "morphing" with a Vortex is much more fun!

Most of my LD posts of late have surrounded my efforts
to put together a smaller, more compact, and therefore
(hopefully) more reliable and easy-to-set-up looping rig --
for small venues, festivals and stuff. I wish there was
a pedal version of the Vortex to include in that. It's the
thing I miss most while going in this new "stripped down"
paradigm.

People sometimes refer to the Digitech X-300 "Space Station"
as being something like a suitable replacement or equivalent.
But, having played around with one quite a bit when it first
came out -- and though I DO think it IS a fun little box on
it's own -- it really isn't the same thing at all.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
