Hey Per, Ive checked out the OC3 and it works very well. If what you are after is simple faux bass capability this would indeed be a good unit to have. I think you would enjoy using that more than wearing a double neck guitar/bass around your neck. Unless of course you enjoy back spasms Ha! Ha! Today I was reading a top review of the "BOSS Super Octave OC-3" in a guitar magazine. Anyone tried it? I think that is a concept I'd like to keep handy - simply pitching my live instrument signal down before running it into my looping rig. When playing more melodic music it's good to be able to rely on instrumental chops and traditional music theory. I'm looking for a more common bass solution, to complement the usual "experimental" ways to tune down loops after recording them (Repeater) or kick into HalfSpeed (EDP). What I'd REALLY would like to have is a double-neck Stratocaster/Jazz-Bass and no bass pedals ;-) By the way, one one of the best bass sounds I've heard, at least for non-funk music, came from Matthias Grob's special hexaphonic guitar pick-up and that Paradis Poly-Sub-Bass unit. But those monsters went out of production long ago. All the best Per Boysen --- http://www.boysen.se http://www.looproom.com
