This Wed. March 9th - Building Castles out of Matchsticks
+ Psychosomatic Climax Machine with General Chaos Visuals

Building Castles out of Matchsticks - Scattered electronics
composed, performed and arranged by Anne Sulikowski.
Analogue synthesis and accidental sequences. Found
sounds and pedal manipulations blended to form an ambient
bliss. These are personal scrapbook collections of beats,
drone, synth pop, minimalism, audio art and noise collages.
An audio diary of extraordinary events and everyday life.

Psychosomatic Climax Machine - A 5 piece improvisational
music ensemble focusing on space, time travel, analogue
synthesis and sub-atomic melodies & microtones. All songs,
performance pieces & atmospheres are spontaniously created.
Music is similar to that of Can, Tangerine Dream, Black Dice
and Tommorland. Features Anne Sulikowski, Scott Johnson &
Vanessa Price on keyboards with Phil Ogison & Jeff Sinibaldi
on guitar. These are all members of the Hamilton based
collective Worthy Records: the only non-profit artist run record
label in Ontario. They have released over 50 CDs in 2 years
with more on the way. www.worthyrecords.com

BCooM and PCM are delighted to be accompanied by the
almighty General Chaos Visuals. Steve and Eric's light
manipulations are so psychedelic you'll forgot you stopped
taking acid in the 90s! http://www.generalchaosvisuals.com

Between Sets CD - "HoVR" by Anomalous Disturbances
(Last week we bumped this lovely CD to feature the music
of David Pritchard in honour of his life and his passing.)
Sublime soundscaping from Vancouver artist Terry O'Brien
using looping guitar as a primary sound source. After a
darker opening landscape, the album begins to float and
never returns to earth. http://www.anomalousdisturbances.com

rik maclean's *ping things* CD Reviews

"Starfarer's Tales Volume II" by Ixohoxi and Numina

Fans of deep, dark space music will no doubt be thrilled by
the release of Starfarer's Tales Volume II, the long awaited
follow up collaboration by Ixohoxi and Numina. Building
and expanding upon the atmosphere of the previous volume,
the two artists have created a world of mysterious possibilities
and solopsisms. Alien percussion drifts through haunting
melodies, the sounds of dying stars play against backdrops
of cosmic dust dancing past forgotten moons, celestial bodies
developing sentience, civilization, empires and more.
This is truly music of the spheres.
