Musolomo ( http://www.plasq.com ) is an "interactive sampler" released as 
an OSX AU (Windows VST supposedly forthcoming).  It also has an Autoloop 
mode, which will allow you to record and overdub sound-on-sound much like 
a 
hardware Looper.

I downloaded the darn thing a few weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to 
really work with it.  You're probably best-off getting more details from 
the website...
